KidZone
sponsored by Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
and UPMC Health Plan

young music fan at 2009 blues festival

The KidZone is for families with children ages 3 through 11 to experience and learn about the Food Bank by participating in activities that spark their creativity and imagination. Our youngest festival guests will get a hands-on experience as they visit our miniature pantry, soup kitchen, and repack center where they can work on our assembly line producing birthday bags so that children in need can celebrate their special day.

Activities
Do you have a little one who loves to play in the dirt? Want to teach your children the importance of eating fresh foods? Then stop by the KidZone where they can plant a seed in a peat pot to take home and watch it grow.

We will also have nutrition games, crafts and a wishing well where kids can make a wish come true for hungry children. And as always, our display tables will be filled with ideas for future family/school projects and nutrition information.

KidZone Hours:
Friday 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 - 7:00 pm
